CARIBOU — After compiling data from more than 18,000 nursing homes, officials with Caregiverlist.com awarded their “5-Star Ratings” to two Caribou nursing homes that have received a rating of more than four stars.
The top two nursing homes from the area were:
• Caribou Rehab And Nursing Center; and
• the Maine Veterans’ Home.
Caribou was the only municipality in Maine that was home to a nursing facility that received more than four stars. Other recognized locations in the state included Canton, Farmington, Fort Kent, Dover-Foxcroft, Madawaska, Norway and Presque Isle.
