LAKEWOOD, CA & WASHBURN, ME – Betty L. (Drost) Pouliot, 71, died April 3, 2013, in Lakewood, CA, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 15, 1941, in Washburn, ME, to the late Warren E. and Lillian M. (Seward) Drost.
    After graduating from Washburn High School in 1959, she served our country in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965 and then worked for the Long Beach Post Office for 42 years, retiring in 2009. She traveled around the world many times and had gone on many cruises with her travel buddies.
    She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Leroy Pouliot in 1997. She was also predeceased by several siblings, Floyd Drost, Sr. of Washburn, Freeman Drost of Crouseville, and Amy Williams of St. Cloud, FL. She is survived by her brothers, Willie Drost and wife, Judith of Washburn, Richard Drost of St. Cloud, FL; sisters, Phyllis Fechner of Alamogordo, NM, and Joyce Pinette and husband, Leonard, Sr. of Wade. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Marie Drost of Crouseville, Diane (Pouliot) Theriault and husband, Lester, Lena (Pouliot) Wilde and husband, Douglas, and Laura (Pouliot) Grivois. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, her family, neighbors and her many friends.
    Burial was held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in California on April 12, 2013.
