BURRILLVILLE – Marjorie J. (Daughtery) Silverthorne, 83, died Friday, April 12, 2013 after a brief illness at Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pascoag. She was a resident of Buck Hill Rd, Pascoag. Born in Pascoag to the late James and Olivia (Martindale) Daughtery, she was the wife of the late James W. Silverthorne, who passed away in 1992.
Formerly of Camp Dixie Rd, Pascoag and Front Ridge Rd, Littleton, ME, she retired in 1983 and made Littleton her home, returning to Pascoag in 2000 to reside with her family. Marjorie earned her beautician license in 1960, later owning and operating the Rochambeau Ave Beauty Parlor in Providence. She was a member of the Monticello Grange. A very special “Aunty” to several generations, a best friend who always took time to help and listen, devoting her life to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
She was the sister of the late Charles and William Daughtery, Gladys Rawson and Edith Seaver. She is survived by many nieces and nephews: Constance Bonoyer, F. Chester Seaver Jr., Carol Woods, Wayne Rawson, Sandra Gittleman, Joanne and Robert Daughtery; her great-nieces and nephews: Christine Bonoyer, John Bonoyer Jr. and his wife, Angela, Kimberly Moreland, Leslie DeAngelo, Rebecca Woods and Kayla Gittleman; her great-great-nieces and nephews: John Bonoyer III, Lauren Bonoyer, Julia Moreland, Kyle and Ryan DeAngelo. She was also step grandmother to Jamie Silverthorne and the late Richard Silverthorne.
A graveside service will be held at a later date, in the Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, ME, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. Arrangements are under the direction of the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. www.boucherfh.com.
