CARIBOU — The Henry B. Pratt Jr. American Legion Post No. 15, its Auxiliary and Legion Riders hosted a fundraising event for Angel Flight Northeast on April 20.
The veterans organization held a beans and hot dogs luncheon with all the fixings. A raffle of items donated by the Auxiliary and a 50/50 cash drawing were part of the luncheon. Net proceeds were $1,000.

Angel Flight Northeast provides flights to those in medical need, whether it be an emergency situation or the need to fly to Boston for treatments. Angel Flight pilots donate their time, fuel and planes for these services. When Angel Flight Northeast first began, they provided flights for 30 patients; now they fly over 4,000 times per year with 30 percent of flights originating out of Aroostook County.
