The sixth-grade teachers, Mr. Pelletier, Mrs. Bouchard, Ms. LaJoie and Mrs. Heidorn, have chosen Alexis Bruso as one of their March Students of the Month. Bruso is a quiet leader among her peers, according to her teachers. She works hard in all of her classes and always does the right thing. Bruso gets along well with everyone, making her a great addition to any group, her teachers say. She has good classroom management skills, is well organized, enjoys singing and is a member of the CMS chorus.

The teachers are also pleased to announce Xavier Nava York has been selected as the second sixth-grade March Student of the Month. York is a wonderful young man, according to his teachers. He is diligent about his schoolwork and is an honor roll student. York’s teachers say he has all the qualities that anyone would like to find in an exemplary school citizen: polite and thoughtful, not only to his peers and teachers, but he also chooses to do what is right regardless of what else is going on around him.

The seventh-grade teachers have chosen Ashley Matlock as one of their March Students of the Month. Matlock’s teachers say she is a great example of a hard-working student. She takes great pride in her work and wants to do well in all aspects of her school day. Matlock is a member of the CMS soccer and basketball teams and can also be found playing her instrument for band, jazz band and GT band. Matlock is also a member of Student Organization, where she is able to use her leadership skills. According to her teachers, Matlock is very kind and always willing to lend a hand to someone in need, in or out of the classroom.

The seventh-grade teachers have also selected Dan Randolph as a March Student of the Month. Randolph is a pleasure both as a student and as a person, according to his teachers, and they say he is one of the friendliest seventh-graders at CMS. Randolph is easy going, polite and very kind, considerate and respectful toward the other seventh-graders. Randolph’s positive attitude and excellent work ethic make him a leader in the classroom, and his school citizenship is unquestioned.

Randolph is an all-around student-athlete. He earns high honors academically and takes exceptional pride in the quality of his schoolwork. Randolph likes sports and has been on both the CMS cross country team as well as the sixth- and seventh-grade basketball team. He was an important and very successful member of both of those teams.

The grade-eight teaching team has chosen Kirsten Haney as one of their Students of the Month for March. Haney was chosen because of her willingness to help others and her ability to set an example for all who attend CMS.

Haney, in her years at CMS, has been involved in band, chorus, basketball and cheering. She is always willing to help a fellow classmate or teacher, often without being asked. Haney is a wonderful role model to all students and sets a great example regarding schoolwork and the treatment of fellow classmates, schoolmates, teachers and adults.

Corinne Corbin has been selected as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for March. Corbin’s teachers chose her because of her positive attitude toward schoolwork, classes, teachers and classmates. Corbin loves to write, read, play soccer, and she also enjoys babysitting.

Corbin’s teachers say she is a true role model and great example for all of CMS with her fabulous work ethic and treatment of others.
