The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be offering a two-part preservation workshop at the Houlton Regional Hospital Community Education Center. These are “hands-on” classes and will cover water bath and pressure canning, freezing and drying.
The first part of the workshop will be offered on June 10 and the second on June 17 at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 6-9 p.m. Pre-registration is required and class size is limited. Cost for the two-part workshop is $12.50 per person. Register by calling 800-287-1421.
