Winners of Northern Lanes’ Memorial Bowling Tournament were Cindy French and Chip Hafford. The annual event was held at Northern Lanes in Presque Isle recently. French bested Tina Lorenzo in the women’s final, 129-108. French had beaten Joann Nickerson in the semifinals, 135-121, while Lorenzo got past Ruby LaFrance, 139-123. On the men’s side, Hafford eased past Rudy Hoffert in the finals, 141-114. In the semis, Hoffert downed Dave Caron, Jr., 131-117, with Hafford defeating Jim Chasse, 172-114.
