SHERMAN – Richard J. Munson, 64, died June 25, 2013, in Millinocket. He was born April 7, 1949, in Prentiss, son of Edward and Harriet (Ellis) Munson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Vietnam, and a member of Molunkus Lodge No. 165 AF & AM, Sherman. He worked for Great Northern Paper for 31 years and was a log truck driver for nine years.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol (Splan) Munson of Sherman; three daughters, “Paige” Lori Jean Gott of Searsport, Angela Marie Munson of Lincoln, and Patricia Sue Moody of Maggie Valley, N.C.; eight grandchildren, one great-grandson; two sisters, Thelma Faulkner of East Winn and Judy Smith of Lincoln; two special aunts, Marjorie Worcester and Joyce Thibodeau; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
