Philip Boody of New Sweden was named the University of Maine at Presque Isle men’s cross country team’s Most Valuable Runner during the recent athletic awards banquet held at the Campus Center. At right is Boody’s coach, Christopher Smith. Other local athletes honored were Jordan McLaughlin of Washburn, men’s basketball most inspirational player; Joey Bard of Woodland, men’s Nordic skiing most inspirational; and Kellie Peers of Caswell, softball MVP.
