The Northern Region of Maine Sports Legends selected its Scholar/Athletes for 2013, with Carla Halvorson of Easton and Nicholas Lunn of Hodgdon both set to receive $500 scholarships at the annual banquet at the Alfond Girls and Boys Club on Oct. 13.
A large number of excellent applicants were received from all over Aroostook County and the Northern directors of Maine Sports Legends wish to thank all who took the time to apply for the scholarship.
Eight scholarships (four to girls and four to boys) will be given out to students throughout the state.
