Wildcat Soccer Camp begins Monday

PRESQUE ISLE — The SAD 1 soccer coaching staff is offering “Wildcat Soccer Camp” July 22-26.

The camp, held on the turf field at the Presque Isle Middle School, is open to experienced and inexperienced players and serves as a great opportunity to tune up for the high school, middle school or recreation seasons.
The staff includes varsity boys’ coach Joe Greaves, varsity girls’ coach Ralph Michaud, assistant boys’ coach Tim McCue, assistant girls’ coach Dillon Kingsbury, JV boys’ coach Brian Cronin, JV girls’ coach Audra Kirk and middle school coaches Jeff Hudson, Sam Clukey, Mike Patenaude and Monica Bearden.
Also assisting will be current and former Wildcat standouts Chandler Guerrette, Megan Ireland, Jonah Stephenson and Ben Nickerson.
Girls and boys entering grades 3-6 will play in the first session from 3-5 p.m. and those entering grades 6-9 will attend the second session which runs from 5-7 p.m. Sixth-graders may choose either session, but it is recommended they choose the one based on their ability level.
The camp will introduce young players to the fundamentals of the game and will improve the skills of the more experienced players. There will be drills, individual competitions and team games, with an emphasis on sportsmanship and having fun.
The cost is $45 per student, with discounts provided to families with two or more participants.
Students may pre-register at the athletic office or may wait and register on the first day of camp, up to 30 minutes before it begins.
