AUGUSTA — “The Department of Corrections has a number of beneficial services available by phone and online for victims of crimes. I think the more crime victims are aware of these services, the more they will use them,” said Tessa L. Mosher, MDOC’s director of victim services.
Through the toll-free number, (800)-968-6909, victims of crimes can access information including sentencing information, projected date of release, place of confinement, and restitution status.
“If you are the victim of a crime and you believe the offender is in a Department of Corrections Facility you can submit a victim notification request online. Victim notification requests are confidential,” said Mosher.
