CARIBOU – Gary E. Olson, Sr., 58, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon July 19, 2013, at a Caribou healthcare facility. He was born July 29, 1954, in Caribou, the son of the late Shepard and Hazel (Page) Olson.
He was a graduate of the Caribou School System and for many years had driven truck long haul and worked many years for John T. Noble until his retirement.
Mr. Olson is survived by his loving sons, Gary “Jay” Olson Jr. and wife Jennifer of Caribou and his son, Shawn Olson, and wife Michelle of Woodlawn, TN. He loved and adored his grandchildren; Dylan, Jasmine, Tori and Daniel “DJ”. He is also survived by his siblings, brother, Carl Olson and wife Penny of Caribou, sisters, Elaine Donovan and husband David of Caswell, and Linda Norsworthy and husband Dave of Woodland, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind three furry family members, Simba, Ralph, and Gabby.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery with Gary’s brother-in-law David Donovan officiating. A time of continued fellowship will be held after the service at the home of Carl and Penny Olson, 747 Access Highway, Caribou.
