CARIBOU — Saturday, July 27 marks the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, and local veterans are working to ensure that what’s often referred to as “the forgotten war” is appropriately remembered and respected during that honorable date.
At 9 a.m. on July 27, veterans and patriots will gather at the Honor Roll in front of the Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department for a ceremony to honor those who served in the war.
Following the ceremony, the Caribou VFW will be offering coffee and doughnuts at their post on Van Buren Street.
