CARIBOU — The annual State Farm Caribou Little League Invitational Baseball Tournament has a field of 18 teams traveling from as far away as Bar Harbor.
Ten teams will compete for the 11-12 year-old division title, with eight taking part in the 9-10 division. Games will be played at the Robert P. White and Rotary fields at Hilltop School and at Teague Park.
Games begin at 6 p.m. Friday and will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday and be played throughout the day. The tourney continues at 8 a.m. Sunday, with the 11-12 semifinals set for noon and both divisions’ championship games at 2 p.m.
The top four teams in the 11-12 division and top two teams in the 9-10 division will advance to the championship round.
Teams competing in the 11-12 division at Caribou CPT and Caribou Kearney, Fort Kent, Presque Isle, Bradford, Maine Sluggers, the Mount Desert Island Falcons, Houlton Porter, Houlton Tucker and Grand Falls.
The 9-10 division teams are Caribou Cindy’s Sub Shop, Fort Fairfield, MDI Falcons, Bradford, Houlton, Maine Sluggers, Orrington and Presque Isle.
