Greater Houlton Christian Academy (GHCA) held its 16th annual bike-a-thon and spaghetti supper on June 1.
“We had 25-30 more registered bikers this year. With 95 bikers, we raised approximately $20,000 with more funds still coming in,” said John Bishop, GHCA head of school.
“Each year staff and parents contribute their time and support to fundraisers like this one, with a goal to help make tuition to GHCA as affordable as possible for as many families as possible,” he added. “We are deeply grateful to our students and adult riders and especially the community members who sponsored them!”

This year’s spaghetti supper featured a book signing by two GHCA supporters, Tim and Debbie Bishop. The couple recently published a book entitled “Two Are Better: Midlife Newlyweds Bicycle Coast to Coast.” The Bishops donated 50 percent of the sales proceeds to GHCA.
