    The 22nd annual Crime Stoppers Golf Scramble was held at the Mars Hill Country Club on Aug. 3 and 4.

    Although rain caused the afternoon sessions to be cancelled each day, the mornings proved to be a busy time.
    Taking first place on the net side with a 47 was the team consisting of Robert Rogers, Ryan Rogers, Jake Smith and Peter Tweedie. Ending up second net with a 51 was the team of Ted Peterson, TJ Peterson, Bret Delong and Steve Robinson. In third with a 52 was the team of Brian Young, Ryan Guerrette, Steve Cheney and Rod Mahan.
    The winning gross team, with a score of 54, included Brad Trombley, Warren Trombley, Norval Sappier and Justin Sappier. Second gross, with a 59, was the team of Dylan Flewelling, Gaige Flewelling, Cole  McLaughlin and Doug Dickinson. In third with a 60 was the foursome of Billy Milliken, Thomas Beal, Calvin Beal and Seth Milliken.
    Others winners included Jason Woodworth, closest to the pin on hole 6 at 4 feet, 4 inches; Darren Foster, who was closest to the pin on hole 8 at 3 feet, 9 inches; closest to the sheriff on hole 12 Saturday was Bob Harrison at 16 feet, 6 inches and on Sunday it was Dickinson at 9 feet, 8 inches.
    Warren Trombley had the longest putt on hole 12  at 19 feet, 3 inches; Marj Peterson was closest to the pin on hole 12  at 11 feet, 6 inches; Billy Milliken was closest to the pin on hole 15 at 3 feet, 11 inches; and Steve Batson had the longest drive on hole 18.
