DANFORTH – Ardis A. Hayman, passed away on August 21, at home with her family and friends at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 9, 1937, the daughter of Oris and Florence (Thompson) Bragdon in Danforth.
She graduated from Danforth High School, class of 1955. Ardis worked with her dad in Bradgon’s General Store for many years. She was a member of the Danforth Methodist Church and the treasurer of the UMW. She was an avid fisherwoman, especially lake trout.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, John, who was her best friend. They had been married for 56 years! They were not blessed with children but have many nieces and nephews who they love very much, especially Tim and his wife, Elaine. She is survived by four sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Mary Ann Bragdon of Old Town, Alberta Hayman, Allura Campbell, both of Brookton, Faye and Albion Hayman, of Salem, MO; her church family; and her two beloved cats, Smokey and Bandit. She was predeceased by her parents and her only brother, Wendell Bragdon; a nephew, Michael Bragdon.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 24 at the Danforth Methodist Church, Bancroft Road, Danforth.
