ANDERSON, Harry D., 81, August 21, 2013.  A graveside service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Hampden Gilpatrick.

American Flag Color Dixmont – Harry D. Anderson, 81, passed away peacefully August 21, 2013 at a Bangor hospital.  Harry was born in Van Buren June 2, 1932 to John V. and Alberta M. (Grandchamp) Anderson.
   PT Anderson, Harry D.0001 Harry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War before working his entire career as a Flight Service Specialist with the FAA throughout the Northeast.  One of Harry’s greatest loves besides his family was the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and taking his children on small adventures searching for wild foods of all kinds. He was a handy around the house and was good cook. Harry had a great sense of humor, a clever wit, was a determined man, yet had a kind, gentle way about him. Harry will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
    Harry is survived by his loving children, Cindi McNutt and husband, Michael of Houlton, Thomas Anderson of Pittsfield, N.H., and Gayle Flye of Newport; three grand-children, Cameron and Michael McNutt, and Jaclyn Flye all of Southern Maine; a great-grandson John Anderson McNutt; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Harry was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife Doris, a daughter, Jeannie Anderson, and his brothers, identical twin, Herbert Patrick, Glen Joseph, and John Merton, and sisters, Geraldine Marie, and Dora Louise.
