It is raining cats and kittens at Halfway Home Pet Rescue and little Grayson is hoping his turn for adoption will be next. Grayson has received his first three distemper shots and parasite prevention treatment, and he will be adopted with a spay/neuter voucher for when he is old enough for surgery. Kittens are available at HHPR for $55. Adult cats over the age of seven months with all of their medical work completed, including spay and neuter surgery, are currently available for only $25. “[The rescue] only adopts out healthy, well-cared for cats with all medical completed, however, HHPR also guarantees the cat’s health for 21 days after the adoption,” explained HHPR President Norma Milton. If the cat become ill and the vet determines that it was a virus picked up at the rescue even though symptoms were not yet visible at the adoption time, the rescue will pay for the vet visit and medication. To help fundraise for HHPR, there will be a weekly Saturday Garage/Yard Sales at 11 Pioneer Ave., in Caribou from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adoption hours at the 489 Main St., Caribou facility are on Saturday afternoons from noon to 3 pm. Folks are welcome to drop off returnable bottles and used shoes and ink cartridges for the rescue’s fund-raising recycling programs. For more information, call Mary at 999-1075.
