    Kara Micheline Lauritsen and Brady Alonzo Mahan are pleased to announce their engagement.
    Kara is the daughter of Diane Lavway of Westfield and Marc Lauritsen of Presque Isle. She is a 2004 graduate of PIHS, a 2006 graduate of New England School of Communications with an Associate Degree in Communications/ Broadcasting, and a 2013 graduate of NMCC with an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting. She is employed at TAMC Eye Care Services.
    Brady is the son of Sharon Duncan of Mapleton and Rodney Mahan of Mars Hill. He is a 1996 graduate of CAHS, Mars Hill and a 2009 graduate of Husson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
    An October 2013 wedding is planned at Presque Isle.
