Pleasant View Tree Farm owners Rob and Tammie Mulvey of Hodgdon know a thing or two about growing trees, and not just Christmas trees. The couple has been selling trees at their house for six years now.
We started off with just Christmas trees and a few wreaths, but now have much more. In the spring you can stop in and purchase an apple, pear or cherry trees, along with a variety of maple, birch, crabapple trees, hydrangea’s, lilac’s, spirea, roses, azalea’s, rhododendron’s, burning bush, arborvitaes, even Bowling Balls. We have blueberry plants and raspberries, cranberries and chokeberry as well. Then comes strawberry season and you can stop in and get some of the sweetest, juiciest strawberries around, all picked and waiting for you to enjoy. In the fall we have big beautiful fall mums with a wide variety of colors, along with all the other plants. Fall is a great time to plant, so it is not too late.
Our Christmas time operation has expanded as well. We have centerpieces, baskets, too many sizes and shapes of wreaths to mention, kissing balls, and of course Christmas Trees! This year we will be adding some ornaments and locally made gift items. We also have the very unique Old Man birdhouses.
Customer Service is our No. 1 priority along with quality product. When we grow any of our products we put special care into them. When Rob is out shearing and caring for the Christmas Trees he is thinking about the smiles that it will bring to that family’s face through out the season. Most people have struggles in their lives.
If we can help bring even just a little joy to their lives it is all worth it. It is also just common sense that you want and need to treat your customers right because if you do not, they will not continue to be your customer.
We are adding products all the time, when people request new things we look at the possibility to be bring it in. We want to offer as much as we can that people are interested in.
