CELEBRATED — Maine Army National Guard Specialist Joshua Clyde McNinch of the 133rd Engineer Battalion,
along with the 1035th out of Portland, attended the Heroes Send Off Ceremony in Portland, Aug. 10. The soliders were deployed for Afghanistan on Aug. 13. Gov. Paul LePage, Sens. Susan Collins and Angus King, and Rep. Mike Michaud were also in attendance. McNinch has been with the National Guard since 2011 and participated in the funeral honors group for the past year. He is a 2011 graduate of Houlton High School and the son of Richard and Teresa McNinch of Littleton; and siblings Jordan, Christ and Jayde. He is the grandson of Juanita Russell of Haynesville and the late Clyde Russell of Haynesville and Gloria McNinch of Littleton. He is engaged to Katie Goodall.
