The word “pizza” and Reno’s Family Restaurant are synonymous. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who has spent any time at all in Caribou and hasn’t consumed a slice or two of the eatery’s iconic cheese, sauce and crust concoction at least once in their lifetime.

While pizza may be Reno’s most well known dish, the cheesy cuisine is not the only food the Corriveau family has been serving up since opening the restaurant on Sweden Street in 1965. Welcoming customers through its doors beginning at 5:30 a.m., the family-friendly restaurant is also a popular spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast and offers a vast array of home-cooked meals such as burgers and fries, seafood, pasta, even liver and onions.
Longevity is the buzzword at Reno’s. The family restaurant has remained in the same location for its 48 years of existence, with additions and improvements to the building being completed over time. Co-owners Danny and Nelson Corriveau have been working at the establishment for 44 years. Members of the wait staff, Tammy and Susie, and day cook Todd have also been preparing and serving Reno’s tasty fare for more than 30 years.
The experienced Reno’s staff certainly knows how to provide their patrons with a speedy and friendly dining experience.
“It’s no secret why we have stayed in business in this region,” said Danny. “We work hard, we provide quality service and a quality food product.”
While hard work, service and excellent food are crucial to survival in the food industry, Reno’s goes above and beyond the basics.
“Customer service is very important,” Corriveau said. “A satisfied customer will lead to repeat business. We serve many customers two and sometimes three times a day.”
Just as the restaurant is a family-run business, eating at Reno’s is a family tradition. Most Caribou residents have memories of enjoying many a meal in the cozy, pleasant dining room. Friends gather there on a daily basis and those who have moved away plan a stop at Reno’s for a taste of home during their visits back to The County.
Reno’s provides takeout service and is open seven days a week, from 5:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday.
