Shiretown Pharmacy, located within County Yankee Grocer, celebrated its first anniversary on May 16. With that milestone accomplished, the pharmacy is still growing strong.
Local owners/partners Lisa Findlater of Houlton and Charlie Ouellette of Fort Kent continue to service the community with customer service as their top priority. Findlater, a member of the Houlton community since 1969, continues to support our local economy by getting involved with the Rotary through sponsoring Marcie Norton, certified pharmacy technician, as a new member this year.
“We recognize our community needs service options that include, but are not limited to lower prices, home delivery, and specialty services,” said Findlater. “Some folks need help with pricing, some need immunizations, others need time to speak to a pharmacy representative about medicare coverage. We can help with all of these and then some.”
Shiretown Pharmacy is now able to bubble pack prescriptions for people and all special order products are available to be picked up the next day Monday through Thursday.
Shiretown Pharmacy continues to be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. as well as Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon with convenient delivery from Monday through Friday from 2-4 p.m. Delivery in town is free and there is a small fee outside of town.
Shiretown Pharmacy continues to stock inventory from different vendors, with their primary stock from HD Smith.
“We also have a prescription discount program comparable to competitors’ with a 30-day supply for $4.99 and 90-day supply for $10.99,” added Findlater.
Special low prices are available for lots of other drugs upon request. For a short time Shiretown Pharmacy is offering a $5 gift card to County Yankee with each new or transferred prescription, up to five per person.
Prescription transfers are as easy as can be. No refills, no problem. The Shiretown Pharmacy staff can call the doctor for you.
“We need only name, address, date of birth, phone, insurance of the patient and the name and phone number of your pharmacy and well will do the rest,” said Findlater. “We offer e-faxing to doctors and also courtesy refills for patients.”
Working to make Shiretown Pharmacy successful are technicians Marcie Norton, Stephanie Plotegher and Stephanie Sennett. Findlater is always available to help make your shopping experience satisfactory.
