its 33rd annual August Fest
WASHBURN NEWS

This year’s August Festival events drew a good crowd and this year’s parade had over 40 entries. A kids’ carnival complete with games, prizes, a bouncy house and tractor rides were enjoyed by many. There was a lot of good music to enjoy including a bluegrass band, DJ, a saxophonist, classic country with Warner Archer, karaoke with Fireman Fred, country music jam, gospel concert, and a classic rock band.
Despite a few passing showers it was a great weekend with many events, lots of food and a great fireworks display. Washburn’s August Festival is held every year during the third weekend of August; if you missed this year’s fun, make sure to mark your calendar for 2014.
