The Houlton High School golf team battled severe conditions on Monday to overtake Caribou, 172-188.
“It was terrible weather conditions,” said Houlton coach David Grant. “We faced 20-25 mile an hour winds and it was cold.”
Houlton’s Parker Brewer came in as the low medalist with a score of 42.
Other Houlton scores were: Ryan Dee 43, Garrett Putnam 43, Cameron J. Clark 44, Cameron E. Clark 53, Kyle Bouchard 53, Bill Phillips 53, Piper Flewelling 54, Caleb Tribou 55, Aaron Sewell 55, Jacob Brown 56, Owen Gallop 61 and Lexi Emerson, 62.

Houlton’s next match is today at Fort Kent, while the make-up match against Fort Kent at the Houlton Country Club will be Thursday. On Saturday, the Houlton Shires play a three-way match against Penobscot Valley and Fort Kent at Jato Highlands in Lincoln.
