Adviser achieves high score

in client relationship study

PORTLAND — Douglas M. Becker, associate vice president and financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial, has received the highest possible scores from his clients in the recent Ameriprise Financial Client Relation- ship Study. Becker ranked in the top 1 percent of participating advisers who achieved a perfect score based on overall client experience.

BU-DOUGLAS BECKER-CLR-DCX-SH-40 Conducted by a third party research organization, the survey provides clients with the opportunity to rate their adviser in several areas including whether their adviser provides them access to other specialists when appropriate, explains fees clearly and contacts them when market conditions change significantly.
As a financial adviser, Becker provides financial advice that is anchored in a solid understanding of client needs and expectations, and provided in a one-on-one relationship with his clients.
“I have many clients from Fort Kent to Houlton, many of whom nominated me for this award,” said Becker. “I have been coming to The County since the early ‘80s. I went to the University of Maine at Fort Kent right after I got back from Viet Nam. I owned 50 acres in Easton for a number of years, and was responsible for getting a couple of farmers to allow the snowmobile trail club access to their property thereby providing a continuous trail through Easton.
“I have been fortunate to know most of the major growers and a fair number of just ordinary folk for whom I am grateful for nominating me for this recognition,” he said.
Becker’s office is located at Two Portland Square, Suite 700, in Portland. He can be reached at 228-2674.
