Take Off Pounds Sensibly, chapter number 0233, met at the Aldergate building on High Street for its Friday, Sept. 26 meeting. Leader Diane Folsom opened the meeting. Losers of the week were one of our “older ladies” and Denise Clark. Weighed in were 14 TOPS and 3 KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly).

Reports were given by weight recorder Joanne Scott and secretary Cheryl Driscoll. The skinny dish was won by an ‘’older person’’ who also won the 50/50 drawing. it was a big week for her!
The program was given by Marsha Reed, who called her presentation ‘’Keys to Inspiration.’’ For Reed, we had to fill in the blanks as she read them from her program.
Folsom will have the next program. Charlotte Marley read an excerpt from the Bangor Daily News concerning fat and cholesterol, and written by a well-known doctor in this area.
Barbara Grant, in charge of our new contest, explained the rules. The contest name is ‘’Sing for Success.’’ Notice to members: next Friday, Oct. 4 please bring items for the animal shelter. Items can be bleach, towels, canned dog or cat food.
Weigh-in is every Friday at 8-8:45 with a meeting starting at 9 o’clock and ending an hour later. If you need more instructions or information on the chapter, you may call Betty Ivey at 532-9653 or Charlotte Marley at 757-8483. Come, enjoy and take off weight.
