The innocence and trust Halfway Home Pet Rescue inspires in their cat care program encourages the kitties to go into their new home with only love and friendship in their hearts. Such is Grey (Amy), a young kitten who came to HHPR as a stray in Fort Fairfield with her sibling, Tina. Her adoption fee is $55, and if the siblings are taken together, the total fee for both will be only $70, including the surgery cost. The HHPR Cat of the Week, Silver, in the last Aroostook Republican edition was reclaimed by her owner. We are still in great need of cat litter, either scoopable or non-scoopable, and are so over capacity of animals that their daily supply of cat litter and Purina Cat Chow and Purina Kitten Chow is extremely low. Donations can be dropped off at 489 Main St. or 11 Pioneer Avenue in Caribou. Also, Paradis Shop’n Save in Caribou keeps a grocery cart in the front of the store for customers to provide HHPR with cat supplies. HHPR is thrilled with the supply of good used shoes, ink cartridges, returnable bottles as the recycle programs are the financial foundation of their medical program along with the kindness represented in the business collection donation boxes at local businesses.
