BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A HIKE

Above-normal temperatures and bright sunshine made for ideal conditions for this group to take part in the Fall Foliage Hike on Haystack Mountain in Castle Hill on Saturday. The event was sponsored by the Bureau of Parks and Land, with staff from the Aroostook State Park serving as guides and offering information about the mountain and other points of interest, including the spectacular view of the region — which included an array of trees bursting with color.
