BUCKSPORT — The Houlton High School club football squad improved to 4-0 on the season with a 28-6 road victory over Bucksport’s junior varsity team, 28-6.

Quarterback Ryan Heath punched in two touchdowns from short distances and tailback Josh Upton scored from inside the 10-yard line. The Shire offensive line proved too much for Bucksport as Houlton had its way on offense.
Defensively, the Shires gave up a passing touchdown. However, they also turned an interception into an electrifying 85-yard return for a score by sophomore corner Garrett Ring.
The Shires have drawn a bye week and return to action against Mattanawcook Academy’s jayvees in Lincoln on Oct. 16.
