CARIBOU, Maine — The sixth grade faculty of Caribou Middle School has selected Cullin Caverhill as a Student of the Month for September. Caverhill is a member of the CMS soccer team and plays hockey and Little League. Caverhill also participates in the school band. His teachers say he is a hard working student who brings great ideas and insights to every class.
Caverhill participates actively in class discussions and always has his homework completed in a timely manner. He is willing to work collaboratively with other students and shows strong leadership ability, according to his teachers. Caverhill gives tremendous effort and energy to whatever he undertakes and is a great team player.
The CMS sixth grade faculty has selected Kimberlee Susi as a September Student of the Month. Susi is a member of the girls’ CMS soccer team and is actively involved with music at school as well. According to her teachers, she is kind, helpful and considerate of her classmates, participates in class activities and works well with others. Susi remains very organized and is always conscientious with her studies. Her teachers say Susi is consistently polite and friendly to both teachers and fellow students.
The CMS seventh grade teachers have chosen Willow Whitten as a September Student of the Month. According to her teachers, Whitten is an extremely kind and friendly young lady who comes into class every day with a smile on her face and is ready to work. She is always willing to lend a hand or run an errand to help someone in need.
Whitten is a member of the CMS soccer team and plans to join the CMS track team in the spring. Her teachers say she takes pride in her work and strives to do well in everything that she does.
The CMS seventh grade faculty has selected Caragan Haney as a September Student of the Month. Haney is new to CMS and has adjusted and adapted wonderfully to her new surroundings. Haney’s teachers say she has a tremendous work ethic and never say die attitude about her schoolwork. Haney always looks on the bright side and her positive attitude is infectious for everyone, according to her teachers. She is a tireless worker along with being incredibly polite. Haney is a good student and a solid school citizen.
The CMS grade eight team has chosen Adessa Judd as a Student of Month for September. Judd was chosen because of her willingness to help others and her ability to set an example for all who attend CMS. While at CMS, Judd has been involved in cross country, track and is planning to try out for cheerleading.
Judd is always willing to help a fellow classmate or teacher often without being asked. According to her teachers, she is a wonderful role model to all students and sets a great example regarding schoolwork and the treatment of fellow classmates, schoolmates, teachers and adults.
Evan Desmond has been selected as an eighth grade Student of the Month for September. Desmond was chosen because of his positive attitude toward schoolwork, classes, teachers and classmates. In his years at CMS, Desmond has been involved in cross country and cross country skiing, and he plans to try out for the basketball and baseball teams.
According to his teachers, Desmond is a great example for all at CMS. With his fabulous work ethic and treatment of others, he is considered a true role model.
