WOODLAND – Stephen V. Bither, 51, entered into the arms of his Savior on October 3, 2013. Stephen was born in Houlton, the son of Vayne Bither and Donna (Webb) Cyr.
Stephen was a 1980 graduate of Caribou High School and joined the Coast Guard after graduation. He was later a long time employee of FedEx, until his illness prevented him from working. Stephen loved outdoor activities and was known for riding his motorcycle, snowmobiles, ATVs, hunting, and sitting and enjoying a bonfire with firework displays, as well as spending time with family and friends. He also loved playing music and was a founding member of the band Blackmoon. Stephen will always be remembered for his ability to make people laugh.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 19 years, Gala Parent; his children, Megan and Adrianna Bither; his mother and step-father, Donna and Raymond Cyr; his father, Vayne Bither; his siblings and their spouses, Patrick and Marjorie Bither, Douglas Bither, Joseph Bither; step-sister, Tina and Felix St. Peter; and grandmother, Viola Pike. He is also survived by his in-laws; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his step-mother, Sharon Bither; and his niece, Shelby Jean St. Pierre.
Family and friends called on Monday, October 7, from 6-8 p.m., at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, October 8, at 11 a.m., at Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Church. A reception was held at the church immediately following services.
