HOULTON – Ralph J. Boulier, 87, died October 19, 2013, at a local healthcare facility. He was born June 23, 1926, at Houlton, the son of Ralph W. and Thelma (White) Boulier.
Ralph was a member of the Houlton First Baptist Church. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany and Korea during the Korean War. He was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, a member of the Houlton Fish and Game Club and the No. 9 Sportsman Club, of which he was president for several years.
For over 30 years, Ralph owned and operated R.J. Boulier & Son Waste Disposal and after retiring went back to work employed with Dunn Funeral Home and Wilbert Vault of Aroostook. Ralph and his wife, Bun, enjoyed many camping trips, fishing with friends. He especially liked family gatherings with kids and grandkids and lots of Bun’s home cooking.
Ralph is survived by two sons, Ralph T. Boulier and Vicky Yarema, and Randy Boulier and his wife, Beth; two daughters, Patricia Saunders and her husband, Rodney, and Linda Nickerson and her husband, Brian; two brothers, Basil Boulier of Dakota, IL and Raymond Boulier of Bangor; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Bernice “Bunny” Boulier; his daughter, Peggy Boulier Hannigan; two grandchildren, Nicole and Matthew Hannigan; brothers, John and Carl; and sister, Katherine.
Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home 11 a.m. Wed. until time of service at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
