HOULTON – Evelyn Harris, 93, died Nov. 3, 2013, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Aug. 3, 1920, at Littleton, the daughter of Stephen and Blanche (Brown) Crane.
Evelyn was a lifelong member of the Littleton United Baptist Church. She was employed by SAD 29 as a cook for 10 years. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and she loved to read.
Evelyn is survived by her son, David Harris and his wife, Elizabeth, of Woodstock, NB, Canada; her daughter, Delores Wielgosz of Holyoke, MA; five grandchildren, David, Samantha, Ryan, Gene, and Shawn; fourteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Clark and Lois Geiger; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Harris; her daughter, Darlene, her siblings, Emma MacDonald, Harry Crane, Gordon Crane, Goldie Scully, Clara Huggard, Nola Webber, Oscar Crane, Milton Crane, Ruth Peabody, Mae Lezotte and Edward Crane.
Friends may call at the Littleton United Baptist Church Thursday 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. Interment will be in the Littleton Cemetery.
