Hodgdon death ruled accidental drowning

    HODGDON — Police may never know how a 46-year-old Hodgdon woman wound up in the bottom of her pool Oct. 30, but have determined the cause of death.

    Lisa Desrocher was found unresponsive in her in-ground swimming pool by her daughter at about 3 p.m. Oct. 30, according to Steve McCausland, public safety spokesperson for the Maine State Police. State police did not determine how Desrocher wound up in the pool, but foul play was not suspected.
    Brandy Desrosier of the Office of the Medical Examiner, said Monday that the official cause of death was ruled accidental drowning.
    At 3 p.m., Maine State Police trooper Shawn Whalen responded to Hodgdon to for a medical call. Houlton Ambulance responded and transported Desrocher to Houlton Regional Hospital, where she declared dead.
    Desrocher was reportedly loading wood into the basement of her home earlier in the day. Trooper Whalen was assisted by Lt. John Cote and Sgt. Brian L. Harris.
