Awards and recognition just keep coming for Cary Medical Center CEO Kris Doody, RN. On the heels of being appointed to the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees, Doody was recently named among an exclusive list of individuals in Maine who have worked to make health care better, more affordable and more patient-centered. The list was assembled in celebration of the Maine Health Management Coalition’s 20-year anniversary.
“Since the Maine Health Management Coalition started in 1993, we have had the pleasure of working with a number of amazing providers, employers, payers and patients that have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the value of health care in Maine,” said MHMC CEO Andrew Webber, who released the list late in August.
The awards were presented to the recipients at the Coalition’s annual symposium in Portland on Oct. 10. The motivation for the Coalition’s award ceremony is three-fold: to recognize individuals from around the state that have worked to improve the value of health care in Maine; to teach others about successful efforts that have been and are being carried out; and to inspire others around the state to work collaboratively to improve the quality and lower the cost of health care in Maine.
