Noyes, Putnam promoted

    HOULTON — Katahdin Trust Company has promoted Jean Noyes to serve as vice president and information security officer and Andrew Putnam to vice president and chief information officer.

    “These leadership changes will help Katahdin Trust Company to continue to drive profitable growth by meeting and exceeding the sophisticated technology needs of our customers and employees as well as ensuring adherence with regulatory requirements as they pertain to information security and vendor management,” said Jon Prescott, president and CEO of Katahdin Trust Company.

    Noyes has worked for Katahdin Trust Company since 1979, having served in a variety of positions including teller, head teller, assistant operations supervisor and operation supervisor. In 1994, she was promoted to data operations officer and to assistant vice president, management information systems in 2000.
    She has served as vice president of management information systems for the past eight years. In her new position Noyes will be responsible for the management of various aspects of the bank’s information security program including disaster recovery, business continuity, and vendor management.
    Noyes is a graduate of Katahdin High School in Sherman Station and Kennebec Valley Vocational Technical Institute in Waterville. She has completed several courses through the American Institute of Banking, the Northern New England School of Banking and attended a variety of industry seminars for operating systems, computer networking and personal computers. Noyes resides in Patten with her husband Ed and they have three grown children: Alysia, Erica, and Gregory.
    Putnam joined Katahdin Trust Company in 1999 as an assistant in the marketing department and later assumed additional responsibilities assisting in the commercial services area. In 2003, he transferred to the Management Information Systems Department as Network Technician. In 2005 he was named Network Administrator, becoming an officer in that capacity in 2009. He was promoted to assistant vice president and technology product manager in 2012.
    In his new role, Putnam will be responsible for the direct oversight of the management information systems department and the ongoing technology development and support for bank staff and customers.

    A graduate of Houlton High School, Putnam attended the University of Maine at Orono and Augusta. He completed the Northern New England School of Banking conducted in Durham, N.H. and has received the designation as a Microsoft-certified systems administrator and certified virtualization expert, as well as various other network and security certificates.
    He serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce and as a volunteer firefighter with the Houlton Fire Department. Putnam resides in New Limerick with his wife Krista and two daughters, Natalie and Lydia.
