Take Off Pounds Sensibly met at the Aldergate Building on High Street for its Friday, Nov. 8, meeting. Leader Diane Folsom was in charge. Fourteen ladies were in attendance; three were KOPS (Keep Pounds Off Sensibly).

Cheryl Driscoll was the loser of the week with Fran as runner-up. The 50/50 was won by Barbara Whited; the skinny dish was taken home by Betty Wyman. Nov. 9 is the workshop in Washburn — plans were devised for many to attend.
Lois started the meeting with a joke; Barbara Grant, chairman, brought the contest up to date. She told us there is two more weeks to the contest before it ends.
Diane took blood pressures from her own unit; we will keep track of them and compare at a later date. To end the program all the members formed a circle while Diane read a turkey story. Every time the leader said the word “turkey”, we would pass a toy turkey to the next person. The story ended on the winner, Betty Ivey, who took an 18-pound turkey home. What a nice game!
If you want more information about the chapter, you may call Betty Ivey at 532-9653 or Charlotte Marley at 757-8483. We meet every Friday morning; weigh-in is 8-8:45; a meeting begins at 9 a.m. and ends an hour later. Come, enjoy, take off weight and have a good time.
