Wildcat fall athletes recognized Nov. 4
PRESQUE ISLE — Athletes from Presque Isle High School were honored Nov. 4 during the school’s fall sports swards ceremony, which recognized all of the Wildcat athletes from the past sports season.

TIM OLORE, who recently retired as coach of the Wildcat baseball team after a 29-year career, was recognized during the Nov. 4 fall sports awards ceremony at PIHS. Two of his players, Tyler Seeley and Saul Nunez, presented Olore a framed jersey and a Wildcat folding chair as gifts. A $300 donation, with funds provided by Olore’s friends and colleagues, was also made to the Central Aroostook Humane Society in memory of Olore’s mother, Jane, and sister, Becky.
The following is a recap of the awards presented.
Junior varsity girls soccer — Coach Audra Kirk presented certificates to: freshmen Madison Fournier, Skyler McAtee, Grace Player, Emily Sjoberg, Victoria Williamson and manager Faith Leavitt; sophomores Ally Bell, Miranda Jandreau, Karen Jones, Kerrigan LeBlanc, Shaye McHatten, Madison Postell and Alyssa Sweeney; and juniors Jessica Baldwin, Megan McKnight and Tori Harvath.
Junior varsity boys soccer — Coach Brian Cronin presented certificates to: freshmen Kyle Beaulier, Patrick Cash, Gavin Kelley, Bradley Kinney, Jake Kinney, David Kofstad, Marcus Ouellette and Denny Young; sophomores Parker Lambert, Brycen Libby, Michael Mahon, Connor Murchison, Zachary Rice, Bryce Smith, Cole Staples and Byron Winslow; and juniors David Cyr, John Freeman and Taylor Miller.
Fall cheering — Coach Jenna Bradstreet presented first-year letters to: freshmen Gabriella Donovan, Justine LaBier, Gwenyth Ortman, Alexis Simpson, Kayla Thibodeau and Ashley Turner and junior Emily Buckley. Receiving second-year letters were: sophomores Madison Bagley, Michelle Cawley, Lindsey Lagerstrom, Alexandra Michaud and Kellsey Michaud; and juniors Mackayla Burbee and Renee Browning. Receiving fourth-year letters were: juniors Katelyn Michaud and Kelsie Spooner.
Varsity golf — Coach Daren Hunter presented certificates to freshman John Saucier and sophomore Gannon Therrien. Receiving first-year letters were freshmen Hunter Flynn and seniors Carter LaPointe, Mike Michaud and Bradley Shields. Receiving second-year letters were seniors Karson Eaton, Josh Gordon and Liam Hughes. Receiving third-year letters were junior Jenna Hallett and senior Michael Boone.
Varsity boys cross country — Coach Justin Fereshetian presented certificates to sophomore Reece McDougall and junior Cristian Nunez. First-year letters went to freshman Jacob O’Berry, sophomore Jason Bartley, juniors Austin Albert and James Churchill and seniors Josh Jones, Conor Seward and manager Alex Hemphill. Third-year letters were presented to junior Noah Rossignol and seniors Dustin Drabek and Frank Nunez. Seniors Trevor Levesque and Saul Nunez earned fourth-year letters.
Varsity girls cross country — Coach Lori Googins presented first-year letters to sophomore Rachel Maxwell and junior Hilary Boucher. Receiving second-year letters were sophomores Emily Colligan, Erica Corey, Mandy Graham and Matteah Michaud and junior Amanda Palmer. Senior Shannon Sweeney earned a third-year letter and senior Bonnie Corey a fourth-year letter.
Varsity girls soccer — Coach Ralph Michaud and assistant coach Dillon Kingsbury presented certificates to sophomore Miranda Jandreau and freshmen managers Meg Boone, Jillian Jandreau and Emily Lagerstrom. First-year letters went to sophomores Jillian Flynn, Kerrigan LeBlanc and Regan Nelson; juniors Erin Ackerson and Megan Seward and seniors Logan Caron and Kaleigh Kinney. Second-year letters were presented to sophomores Olivia Hudson and Taylor Williams, junior Macy Desmond and senior Carly Bell. Third-year letters went to juniors Hannah Graham, Krystal Kingsbury, Emma Kinney and Jordi Legassie and senior Danielle Allen.
Varsity boys soccer — Coach Joe Greaves and assistant coach Tim McCue presented certificates to freshman Patrick Cash and manager Elise Guerrette, sophomores Brycen Libby and Zachary Rice and junior manager Jessica Cameron. Receiving first-year letters were freshmen Nick Bartlett, Khasen Lowe and Josiah Morse; sophomores Sam Gray, Cooper Madore and Kyle Rider, junior manager Aubrie Gross and senior Devin Schinhofen. Earning second-year letters were juniors Keeghan Lowe, Alex Michaud and Chase Norton and seniors Aaron Kofstad, Cody Lyford, Ansumana Morrow and Ryder Soucy. Receiving third-year letters were junior Ben Nickerson and senior Tyler Seeley.
Special awards were also presented. Receiving sweatshirts, awarded to those accumulating a combination of six varsity letters during a career, were Mike Michaud (golf, hockey and tennis), Spooner (fall cheering and winter cheering) and Shannon Sweeney (cross country and skiing).
Jackets are awarded to those lettering in a sport all four years. Recipients were Corey (cross country), Levesque (cross country), Saul Nunez (cross country), Katelyn Michaud (fall cheering) and Spooner (fall cheering).
