Ben Nickerson of Presque Isle won for Class B boys, while Cameron Bragg shared the Class D boys’ honor with Cody Halvorson of Easton. Ian Lee of Madawaska captured the Class C award.
Mackenzie Worcester of Washburn was the co-winner for Class D girls along with Van Buren’s Parise Rossignol. Sarah Doak of Caribou was the Class B recipient, while Samantha Nadeau of Madawaska captured the Class C honor.
The award is named for Clyde “Butch” Shaw, who was a well-respected varsity basketball and baseball coach at Presque Isle High School and a long-time soccer official. He passed away in October 1985 after a short but courageous battle with leukemia.
