Check your automobile
Save time and money, by checking your vehicle over. Make it a practice of checking to see if your vehicle’s registration and inspection are up to date. Also start your vehicle from time to time, leaving it in park, turn on all your lights, and walk around your vehicle checking to see that the lights are working properly, and the sound of you vehicle is normal. These tips may prevent you from being stopped by the police, and having to answer why these things are not current.
Police signs
Houlton Police Chief Butch Asselin advises that any residents who acquired one of the department’s signs to raise awareness for children’s safety should remove the signs before winter arrives. The signs, which featured slogans such as “Be Aware, Drive With Care” are not constructed with materials designed to endure a Maine winter and should be placed inside until spring.
