State Senator David Burns (R-Washington) has announced he will be holding constituent hours with fellow legislators at three different locations in Washington County later this month.
Senator Burns will be joined by Representatives Joyce Maker (R-Calais) and Beth Turner (R-Burlington).
Senator Burns said, “There is nothing more important to me in my role as a public servant than listening to the concerns of those I represent. If I am going to be a voice for them in Augusta, I have to know what is on their minds. I hope we can accomplish this during these constituent hours.”
Representative Turner said, “Constituent hours are a great way to hear the questions, concerns, and ideas of those in our districts. As we approach the start of the Second Regular Session, it is important to know what is on the minds of the people of Maine. ”
Representative Beth Turner and Senator David Burns will gather Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Danforth, Mill Yard Restaurant on Route 1 from 9-11 a.m.
Senator Burns said he plans to hold more constituent hours before the next legislative session, which begins in January.
