Sherman hosts ‘Hopping Ahead’ play dates

The Sherman Public Library is hosting an educational play date called “Hopping Ahead” every fourth Thursday of the month from 1-3 p.m. at its 9 Church St. location.
“Hopping Ahead” is a project created by United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Maine and funded by an early intervention grant made available through

the Department of Health and Human Services. Every month, an educational play date occurs in five different locations across Aroostook and Penobscot counties. The play dates include 30 minutes of training and 90 minutes of grown-up and child (birth to 6 months) play time.
Training and educational material will focus on a different theme each month. A trained professional who specializes in working with children and families will facilitate each date.
