Stewart, Edna M., 87, November 29, 2013.  Interment to be held in the Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.  Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.


 

    WASHBURN – Edna Mae Stewart, 87, wife of the late Franklin Stewart died peacefully November 29, 2013, at her Washburn residence. She was born in Caribou, July 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Winfield and Nettie (McDougal) Doody.
    She married Franklin Stewart July 3, 1946, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to his death in 2006.
    She is survived by three daughters, June Watson of Caribou, Donna Snowman of Orrington, and Gaynol Padgett of Ridgeland, Mississippi; one brother, Maynard Doody of Hudson, FL; three sisters, Luenna McBreairty of Manchester, CT, Hazel Corbell of Fulton, Mississippi, and Amber Sigg of Blossvale, NY; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stewart was predeceased by her husband; three children, Franklin and Raelene Stewart and Norma Johnson; a sister, Grace Schruder; and a grandson; Matthew Johnson.
    Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. George McLaughlin, officiating.
