Girls’ basketball tryouts slated
The Aroostook Youth Basketball League will hold its first practice Thursday for Presque Isle-area girls in grades 3-4.
The practice will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. at Mapleton Elementary School. All local players interested in competing this winter are urged to attend.
The season is 10 weeks in length with one or two 1-1/2 hour practices held per week. After the team is formed and following several practice sessions, approximately 10 games will be scheduled against other communities in The County.
