Christmas Musical
The East Ridge Union Church will present an Old Fashioned Musical on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. featuring singers from youth to adult. All are welcome to enjoy the music and refreshments to follow.
After The Bell
On Thursday, Dec. 12, after school there will be Christmas crafting with Lisa Burtt. Children may ride the bus to All Stars’ Main Street facility. Cost will be $2 per child. Parents, please pick your child up at 4 p.m.
The Running Club will meet immediately after crafting this week. We will be running outside in preparation for the Holiday Classic 5K. The After The Bell Running Club will participate in the Holiday Classic 5K on Saturday morning, Dec. 14 at NMCC. Join the runners or cheer from the sidelines as many of these children compete in their first 5K.
After The Bell hosted the Happy Happy Happy Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 7. It was a huge success! Children had the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Children received pajamas from Santa before watching the new “Duck Dynasty” Christmas movie.
Mars Hill Rotary
The Mars Hill Rotary Club gathered on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center. A special guest was Kathy Miller, who was thanked for all the work she does for the Rotary Club.
The special speaker was Sharon Crane, postmaster of the Mars Hill Post Office. She spoke about the steps she has taken in her career with the post office and the changes that have taken place. She spoke about the various services available, including the Every Door Direct Mailing Service.
Aroostook Health Center
Upcoming events for the week of Dec. 11-17 include: Wednesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Christmas Cards at 9:30 a.m. and Employee Christmas Service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., Horse Racing at 1:30 p.m. and Old Fashioned Revival at 6:30 p.m. Friday will feature Christmas Jingo at 9:30 a.m. and Dayroom Cinema “Moonlight and Mistletoe” at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will feature Karaoke with the Deschesnes at 1:30 p.m. Sunday will feature the Full Gospel Assembly at 3 p.m. Monday will include Circle of Friends at 9:30 a.m., Nail Beautiful at 10 a.m., Communion with Pastor Palmer at 1:30 p.m. and Gospel Group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and Card Games at 1:30 p.m. All of these activities are subject to change.
