BUCKSPORT — The Vikings will host a multi-team wrestling meet Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
Caribou has already participated in three events this season — one at Penobscot Valley High School Nov. 23, another at Bucksport Saturday and the third at PVHS last night.
At Bucksport, coach Chico Hernandez’s squad won 17 of 26 contested matches and had four individuals come away with titles.
Tsion MacLeod in the 120 lb. weight division, Kyle Morris in 126, Jake Bither in 160 and Matt Manter in 195 all came away with titles.
Axios Gerakaris in 152 and Colton Conley in 220 both finished as runners-up, while Rebecca King in 120 and Dustin DeMerchant in 195 both placed third.
Hernandez typically gives out a “wrestler of the week” award and this week’s recipient was freshman Morris.
