Officials at Pines Health Services have announced that the deadline for open insurance enrollment has been extended to Dec. 23, 2013. Individuals signing up for coverage through healthcare.gov by this date will be able to receive benefits starting Jan. 1, 2014.
Certified application counselors will now be available during extended hours at the Pines Caribou Health Center, located at 74 Access Highway, Wednesday through Friday until 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., through Saturday, Dec. 21.
Outreach Specialist Yvette Seaman, as well as several other counselors, will be available for one-on-one assistance during normal hours at all Pines Health Services locations. Appointments are encouraged.
